Threadleaf Coreopsis (Coreopsis verticillata) is a seasonal plant with yellow blooms from early summer to early fall. They prefer full sun in mesic to dry soil where they grow up to 3 feet tall. They are a good choice for slopes and banks of bioretenion plantings. Companion plants include Pale Purple Coneflower (Echinacea pallida) and Prairie Alumroot (Heuchera richardsonii).
Maintenance
No serious maintenance needs. In rich soils, plants may sprawl. Where planted, ensure soil is well drained to prevent crown rot.
