False Sunflower

Heliopsis helianthoides

False Sunflower (Heliopsis helianthoides) is a seasonal plant with yellow blooms in summer. They prefer mesic soil in sun to part sun where they grow up to 5 feet tall. They are a good choice for bioretention slopes. Companion plants include Little Bluestem (Schizachyrium scoparium) and Wild Bergamot (Monarda fistulosa).
