Common Boneset

Eupatorium perfoliatum

Common Boneset (Eupatorium perfoliatum) is a seasonal or structural plant with white flowers from late summer into fall. They prefer full sun to part sun in moist soil where they grow up to 5 feet tall. They are a good choice for the basins of bioretention plantings. Companion plants include Swamp Milkweed (Asclepias incarnata) and Palm Sedge (Carex muskigemensis).

Maintenance

Leaves may turn yellow and drop in extended drought conditions. To avoid aggressive spread by seed, deadhead flowers in fall.
