Early Meadow Rue (Thalictrum dioicum) is a seasonal or groundcover plant with pale green flowers in spring and attractive foliage through the growing season.They prefer part sun to shade in mesic soil where they grow up to 2 feet tall. They are a good choice for the slopes of bioretenion installations. Companion plants include Wild Geranium (Geranium maculatum) and Mayapple (Podophyllum peltatum).
