Foamflower (Tiarella cordifolia) is a groundcover plant with showy white flowers that bloom from mid- to late spring. They also have excellent fall color. They prefer mesic soil in sun to part sun, growing up to 1 foot tall. They are a good choice for planting on shaded slopes but can work on banks as well. Companion plants include Jacob’s Ladder (Polemonium reptans) and Rue Anemone (Anemonella thalictroides).
Maintenance
Soil should not be too dry or too wet for extended periods. No other serious maintenance needs.
