Hairy Wood Mint (Blephilia hirsuta) is a seasonal plant with white blooms from late spring into fall. They prefer mesic soil in part sun to shade where they grow up to 3 feet tall. They are a good choice for shaded slopes. Companion plants include Christmas Fern (Polystichum acrostichoides) and White Wood Aster (Eurybia divaricata).
Maintenance
Powdery mildew can be a problem, and the plant may look somewhat tattered by late summer.
