‘Low Scape Mound®’ Aronia (Aronia melanocarpa ‘Low Scape Mound®’) is a short, structural shrub with white blooms in mid-spring, showy fall foliage, and black fruit from late summer through winter. They prefer mesic soil in sun to part sun, growing up to 2 feet tall. They are a good choice for slopes and banks. Companion plants include Orange Coneflower (Rudbeckia fulgida) and Bradbury’s Bee Balm (Monarda bradburiana).

Maintenance

Remove suckers as needed throughout the growing season and prune out any dead wood. Japanese Beetles may be a problem in the summer.
