‘Purple Dome’ New England Aster (Symphyotrichum novae-angliae 'Purple Dome') is a seasonal plant with purple flowers in fall. They prefer mesic soil in full sun where they grow up to 2 feet tall. They are a good choice for the slopes of rain gardens. Companion plants include Bradbury’s Bee Balm (Monarda bradburiana) and Prairie Dropseed (Sporobolus heterolepis).
