Pink Turtlehead (Chelone obliqua) is a seasonal plant with pink blooms from summer into early fall. They prefer moist soil in part sun but can tolerate some shade. They grow up to 3 feet tall and are a good choice for basins. Companion plants include ‘Little Joe’ Joe Pye Weed (Eutrochium dubium 'Little Joe') and Bluestar (Amsonia tabernaemontana).
Maintenance
Plants in too much sun may scorch, while if in too much shade, plants may need to be staked when in bloom. May be susceptible to powdery mildew in low air-circulation settings.
