Plantain-Leaved Pussytoes (Antennaria plantaginifolia) is a groundcover plant with green leaves, the underside of which are silver, with white flowers in late spring. They prefer dry to mesic soil in sun to part sun, growing less than 1 foot tall. Colonies typically form as the plants mature, which makes them a good choice for groundcovers on banks. Companion plants include Shooting Star (Dodecatheon meadia) and Butterflyweed (Asclepias tuberosa).
Maintenance
If a neat appearance is desired, consider deadheading in June.
