Poke Milkweed

Asclepias exaltata

Poke Milkweed (Asclepias exaltata) is a seasonal plant with white blooms in summer. They prefer mesic soil in part sun to shade, where they grow up to 6 feet tall. They are a good choice for shaded slopes. Companion plants include Lady Fern (Athyrium felix-femina) and Tall Bellflower (Campanula americana).
