Filipendula rubra

Queen of the Prairie (Filipendula rubra) is a seasonal plant with pink blooms in summer. They prefer moist to wet soil in sun to part sun. They grow up to 6 feet tall and are a good choice for wet, sunny basins. Companion plants include Southern Blue Flag Iris (Iris virginica shrevei) and Palm Sedge (Carex muskigemensis).
