Rattlesnake Master (Eryngium yuccifolium) is a structural plant with light green spherical blooms in summer with structures that persist into fall. They prefer moist to dry soil in full sun where they can grow to be 5 feet tall. They are a good choice for sunny slopes and banks. Companion plants include Orange Coneflower (Rudbeckia fulgida) and 'Shenandoah' Switch Grass (Panicum virgatum 'Shenandoah').
Maintenance
Taller plants may need to be staked while in bloom if not supported by other surrounding plants.
