Rose Mallow

Hibiscus laevis

Rose Mallow (Hibiscus laevis) is a seasonal interest plant with very large and showy white and magenta flowers from mid- to late summer. They prefer wet soil in sun to part sun, where they grow to 6 feet tall, making them a good choice for planting in wet, sunny basins. Companion plants include Emory’s Sedge (Carex emoryi) and Southern Blue Flag Iris (Iris virginica var. shrevei).

Maintenance

In summer, Japanese Beetles should be removed by hand.
