Rough Blazing Star (Liatris aspera) is a structural plant with pink blooms from late summer into fall. They prefer dry to mesic soil in sun to part sun where they grow up to 4 feet tall. They are a good choice for slopes and banks. Companion plants include Little Bluestem (Schizachyrium scoparium) and Bradbury’s Bee Balm (Monarda bradburiana).
