Sensitive Fern

Onoclea sensibilis

Sensitive Fern (Onoclea sensibilis) is a groundcover with green fronds up to 3 feet long. They prefer wet to moist soil in part sun to shade. Colonies typically form as the plants mature, which makes them a good choice for wet, shaded basins. Good companion plants include Great Blue Lobelia (Lobelia siphilitica) and Palm Sedge (Carex muskigemensis).

Maintenance

Plants may scorch if exposed to too much sun in hot summer weather.
