Solomon’s Seal (Polygonatum biflorum) is a groundcover plant with inconspicuous white flowers in spring and blue berries in summer and fall. They have attractive foliage throughout the growing season. They prefer part sun to shade in mesic soil, making them a good choice for the slopes of shaded rain gardens. Companion plants include Woodland Phlox (Phlox divaricata) and Christmas Fern (Polystichum acrostichoides).
