White Turtlehead (Chelone glabra) is a seasonal interest plant with white flowers from mid-summer to early fall. They prefer wet to moist soil in sun to part sun where they can grow to 3 feet tall. They are a good choice for sunny basins where they often form colonies as they spread by rhizomes. Companion plants include Swamp Milkweed (Asclepias incarnata) and Common Rush (Juncus effusus).
Maintenance
If surrounding plants outgrow White Turtlehead, consider trimming them back to allow for fuller growth.
