White Wild Indigo (Baptisia alba) is a structural plant with white blooms from late spring into summer. They prefer dry to mesic soil in full sun, where they grow up to 4 feet tall. They are a good choice for slopes and banks. Companion plants include Prairie Dropseed (Sporobolus heterolepis) and ‘Iron Butterfly' Ironweed (Vernonia lettermanii 'Iron Butterfly').
Maintenance
If not surrounded by other plants that can support taller stalks, the plant may need staking. No other serious maintenance needs.
