Wild Senna (Senna hebecarpa) is a structural plant with yellow blooms in summer. They prefer full sun to part sun in mesic to moist soil where they can grow to 6 feet tall. They are a good choice for the slopes and basins of bioretention. Companion plants include Swamp Milkweed (Asclepias incarnata) and Palm Sedge (Carex muskigemensis).
Maintenance
No serious maintenance concerns. Cut back dead foliage in late winter.
