Great Blue Lobelia (Lobelia siphilitica) is a seasonal plant with blue blooms summer into early fall. They prefer moist to mesic soil in sun to part sun but can tolerate some shade. They grow up to 4 feet tall and are a good choice for slopes and basins. Companion plants include ‘Little Joe’ Joe Pye Weed (Eutrochium dubium 'Little Joe') and Bluestar (Amsonia tabernaemontana).
