‘Shenandoah' Switch Grass (Panicum virgatum 'Shenandoah') is a structural plant with grassy foliage and showy, airy panicles with seed from summer through winter. They prefer mesic to wet soil in sun to part sun where they grow up to 4 feet tall. They are a good choice for the slopes and basin of rain gardens. Companion plants include Orange Coneflower (Rudbeckia fulgida) and Purple Coneflower (Echinacea purpurea).
Maintenance
